Band Before band today, met JingLin at whitesands for breakfast. Suddenly we both felt nauseous right after breakfast and she went to the toilet to puke out her food. I, thankfully felt better after drinking some water. When we reached school at around 11.45am, I started to feel sick as time passes. Sore throat, my god, please don't attack me ><. We had combine with Mr Tay till 2.00 and were given our break. Following it was an hour sectionals. Later roughly at 3pm, Mr Lim took us for BRASS combine at dance room. The fan broke and spoilt ><. Astonishingly, Mr Lim didn't ask me to play anything as written but instead asked me to hold my high G. Was able to hold it, but i admit it was really horrible sound and tone. He was rather pissed and said I shouldn't be even playing 2nd when I'm tackling 1st on that piece. Thus, he told me to join my juniors on third. There and then, had to sight read the third score, it was really... weird rhythmn. This part i seriously don't get it. Initially when i had a little trouble hitting high G due to insufficient breathing and preparations for the note, Mr Lim was kind of 'forcing' me to hit it. When WingKit couldn't hit High F preceding high E, Mr Lim said it was alright. It took me so much time and effort practicing the 1st trumpet part. As it is my first time tackling the 1st part, I gave in extra efforts and practiced almost daily. Now one sentence and everything is taken away. I have to use the remaining one week time to master the 3rd part. Why is this happening? I don't get it. |
